5 Secrets to Travel without Fear

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7

Recently, I have received many requests to write about how to overcome the fear of flying. I didn’t realize how many of you are being affected by this spirit of fear in traveling to the destination that the Lord has put in your heart. I believe now is the time to address this issue, especially as we head towards the New Year. God wants His children to live a life of freedom and not a life of bondage to the enemy’s lies which can keep us stranded in pursuing God’s calling in our life. If God has an assignment for where the Lord is leading you to go, believe there is no weapon formed against you that will prosper. Don’t allow fear to stop you from stepping outside of your comfort zone. One of the enemy’s strategies is to keep you on the safe side. Not experiencing the breakthrough that God has in store on the other side of your destination. In the comfort zone, there is no room for growth and the Lord wants to take you to another higher level. You never know what’s on the other side of your obedience until you take the step of faith and fix your eyes on Jesus. Traveling for me has elevated my mind, brought me to new careers and divine appointments where other people were connected to my obedience. If I would not have taken the step of faith to where God was leading me, I would not have been able to accomplish the assignments He has called me to. There is so much more that God has for you that the enemy is trying to block you from receiving. The enemy wouldn’t be attacking your mind in such a way it wasn’t fruitful for you to fly.

I personally know so many women who have come to my Brave by Faith Travel retreats who have traveled from all over the world alone and have overcome the fear of flying. Afterwards, doors suddenly started to open for them for other traveling opportunities.

(Brave by Faith retreat 2 weeks ago in Israel – all these women traveled alone to walk “In His Steps” in the Promised Land.)

It took them having just ONE step of faith and not allowing the spirit of fear to make the decision for themselves. This shows how a faithful God we serve and how much more He wants us to experience a life full of abundance!

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly -. John 10:10

The enemy attacks the area where He knows you will receive your breakthrough. But is up to you to make the choice to say “Satan! I have enough of you, playing around with my mind it ends here! This is no longer your playground! Nothing that you do can stop me from where God wants to take me.” Stand on the truth of God and take your sword of the spirit, resist the devil and he MUST flee. Stand on God’s word and don’t settle for a lie. You are a child of God. Jesus gave you the authority to fight against the devil schemes, be strong and courageous take the first step forward and Jesus will meet you there. My question to you is, how much more are you going to allow the enemy to hold you in bondage? It is time to break free from the lies and receive the truth of Freedom over your life.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. – Deuteronomy 31:6

Here are 5 tips to overcome the fear of flying:

  1. Understand and know your triggers, what are things that trigger you to have anxiety and fear of flying?
  2. Make a mental and heart decision to be obedient to where God wants you to travel and not allow the spirit of fear to make the decision for you.
  3. Constant Prayer and communion with the Father it’s very important. Prayer is the secret sauce!
  4. Standing on God’s truth- mediate on the verse and memorize it constantly speak it out over your life. Have some index cards with verses about fear, so you can read them before and during the plane ride. This is called the renewing of the mind with God’s truth of who you are as His daughter.
  5. Use breathing techniques to help you manage your anxiety, imagine as you breath in filling yourself up with God’s grace and love and breathing out the fear and anxiety from you. It will help you to be in the present moment and not allow the feeling of anxiety to take control over you.

The Lord does not want you to carry this spirit of fear with you towards the New Year. He wants you to live the life of abundance and overflow. Will you give Him permission to do so? Sweet butterfly, it’s time to spread your wings and learn how to fly.

Celebrating overcoming with you!

Love,

Jules
