Hi friends! Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I am so happy you are here š
I started blogging when I was a flight attendant with Emirates Airlines. I wanted to encourage and inspire Americans to travel, because at that time about 10% of our population did. My heart in my writing is to inspire and share with you my experiences to encourage you, that you can do it too! As well as to step out in faith, and go where God is calling you too.
My personal journey started when I graduated from college. I was not getting accepted on any job interviews. For what I thought was my dream career – a corporate position in Marketing. Little did I know, God had something greater for me in store. A few months later, one of my friends was telling me about a cabin crew position for Emirates Airlines in Dubai. I started to look into it and immediately felt peace about this position. I applied and was one of the few accepted amongst thousands of applicants for that same position. My purpose was more than being a “cabin crew” aka flight attendant. But God used that time, for me to grow closer to Him. I developed in my relationship with Jesus and from being exposed to the many cultures of the world, traveling & volunteering for non-profits and charities. God began to stir my heart & break it for what broke His. I wanted to do community outreach full time, but didn’t know how, or even if this could be possible! Several months later, I came across an internship program with Hillsong Cape Town, interning with their Hillsong Africa Foundation & knew that was the place for me. I didn’t even know such a thing even existed! So, after living in Dubai and working with Emirates for 3 years, I stepped out in faith & moved from Dubai, UAE to Cape Town, South Africa to do missions.
I stepped out in faith with just my suitcases and rent that would last me for 3 months. All I can say is that God’s promises have proven true. He hasn’t left me. I have been serving with Hillsong Cape Town & their outreach arm Hillsong Africa Foundation for the past 3 years and my heart is full. God has been FULLY providing for me. I would have never imagined a life like this. His plans were so much greater than mine. What I thought I wanted in life, was minuscule for the fullness He had for me. My life is not mine, but I rely truly dependent on Him in this journey and give Him full credit & glory for where I have been and where He is taking me in the future. He has been with me each step of the way.
