My accommodation in Cape Town!

The internship program does not include housing, however before I arrived to Cape Town the Lord led me to the YW. The place where I live – which is a Christian Accommodation for young woman. The house holds about 40 girls and we each have our own rooms. Except the room that my roommate and I share. Its a large room with a wall down the middle. We also have a veranda that we can step out from our room, which has a nice view of the city. My roommate is a local from Cape Town and I absolutely love her! I thank God I have an amazing roommate. We both sharpen and encourage each other. She goes to a Christian College in town and since she is a local she has been helping me with everything I need to know about living and adapting to the culture here in Cape Town.

The accomadation holds many outings and activities, including braii’s and movie nights, as well as Bible studies every Tuesday evening. On Monday, the management treated us to a big red bus tour of the city! I haven’t been everywhere yet, so it was such a blessing to be treated to this tour. We went to the beachs, towns, and had a sunset picnic by the docks.

Each day has literally been non-stop. There has been something to do every day. Whether its serving in a community, going on outreach activities with friends, praying for a child, worshipping by the waterfront, making new friends, or being blessed by people you never would expect – there hasn’t been a dull day yet. I am loving Cape Town and so grateful God chose me on this mission to serve in this beautiful city!

Colossians 3:16-17 “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.”

Love,

Juliette

Awesome site you have here but I was wondering if you knew of any discussion boards that cover the same topics discussed

If you have any recommendations, please let me know.

    Cheers!
