Saturday was Sisterhoooood! Sisterhood is held three times a year at Hillsong Cape Town as well as globally across the other campuses. Sisterhood is the women’s movement of Hillsong Church. Its about bonding, worship, value and identity, purpose, and mission. This year it was the first time a guy spoke at the conference – Pastor Ray Bevan came from the UK and it was so good. We had a bake sale to bake yummies to raise sponsorship for girls going to Colour (Hillsongs’ yearly global woman conference). Katrina and I made scones and cookies for the sale. I love it when speakers come and they have a good book. This time Pastor Ray brought his book along as well as his wife’s, Laila Bevan’s book – “Stolen Childhood.” This book is a game changer, its so awesome. Its a true story of how Laila overcame the odds in a stolen childhood of abuse and neglect and how she was able to turn her pain and suffering into forgiveness through a new life in Jesus. Its an awesome book to get for anyone you know who is battling with unforgiveness or is struggling to give there life over to Christ. Her book really will change your perspective and outlook in life!
As an intern, we have the opportunity to serve in all the conferences and big events that the church hosts. At Sisterhood I served in the causes area. We spread awareness of the different causes that Sisterhood is all about, which women could get involved with to build the community – including prison ministry, shine course, woman against rape (W.A.R.), and the orphan care foundation. It was a fun weekend of bonding, eating, worshipping, and serving Christ together!!
Love,
Juliette
An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto
a co-worker who was doing a little homework on this.
And he actually ordered me breakfast due to the fact that I found
it for him… lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thanks for the meal!!
But yeah, thanx for spending the time to talk
about this topic here on your internet site.
Howdy! Do you know if they make any plugins to protect against hackers?
I’m kinda paranoid about losing everything I’ve worked hard on. Any suggestions?
